יום המחקר

יום המחקר הפקולטאי נועד להפגיש בין כלל סגל הפקולטה והסטודנטים, ולחשוף אותם למחקרים פרי פעילויות המחקר של הפקולטה. במהלך היום, אנו מוקירים סטודנטים וחברי סגל שתרמו למחקר פורץ דרך, מארחים מרצים אורחים בעלי שם עולמי ועורכים פעילויות גיבוש מהנות לכלל הסגל והסטודנטים של הפקולטה לרפואת שיניים.

הצגות סטודנטים:

• הצגת פוסטרים: כלל תלמידי המחקר בפקולטה לרפואת שיניים או במחלקה למדעים ביו-רפואיים במסגרת הפקולטה מציגים את עבודתם בפורמט של פוסטר.

• הרצאות דוקטורנטים: מספר נבחר של תלמידי דוקטורט, לרוב לקראת סיום עבודתם, מעבירים הרצאות במהלך המושב האקדמי.

• הרצאות סטודנטים לתואר שני (מוסמך): סטודנטים מצטיינים לתואר שני, שנבחרו על ידי ועדה מיוחדת, מציגים את עבודתם במסגרת הרצאות קצרות.

הצגות מחקר כל המחלקות הקליניות מציגות את מחקריהן בתערוכת הפוסטרים, וכן באולם ההרצאות עבור הסגל המנהלי והסטודנטים. מחקר פרה-קליני מוצג על ידי סטודנטים מהמחלקה למדעים ביו-רפואיים ברפואת שיניים. חלק ניכר מהמחקרים המוצגים הם פרי שיתוף פעולה בין מנחים קליניים לפרה-קליניים, המדריכים במשותף את תלמידי המחקר.

טקס הענקת פרסים מספר פרסים מחולקים על מנת להוקיר מצוינות ושיתוף פעולה במחקר:

• פרס קבקוף (The Kabakoff Prize): מוענק לפרויקטי מחקר משותפים בין קלינאים לאנשי סגל פרה-קליני במסגרת הפקולטה לרפואת שיניים.

• פרסים נוספים: תלמידי מחקר מצטיינים עשויים לקבל גם את פרס אורל-בי (Oral-B), פרס פרופ' סטו פישמן (Prof. Stu Fishman), פרס דקסון פארמה (Dexon Pharma) ועוד.

 

Faculty Research Day

Faculty Research Day is designed to bring together all faculty staff and students, exposing them to the research originating from the faculty's research activities. Throughout the day, we recognize students and faculty members who have contributed to groundbreaking research, host internationally renowned guest lecturers, and hold fun team-building activities for all staff and students of the Faculty of Dental Medicine.

Student Presentations:

• Poster Presentations: All research students in the Faculty of Dental Medicine or the Department of Biomedical Sciences within the faculty present their work in a poster format.
• Doctoral Lectures: A select number of doctoral students, usually nearing the completion of their work, present lectures during the academic session.
• Master's Lectures: Outstanding Master's students, chosen by a special committee, present their work as short lectures.

Research Presentations

All clinical departments present their research at the poster exhibition, as well as in the lecture hall for administrative staff and students. Pre-clinical research is presented by students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Dentistry.

A significant portion of the featured studies is the fruit of collaboration between clinical and pre-clinical supervisors, who jointly mentor the research students.

Awards Ceremony

Several awards are distributed to recognize excellence and collaboration in research:

• The Kabakoff Prize: Awarded to joint research projects between clinicians and pre-clinicians within the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
• Additional Awards: Outstanding research students may also receive the Oral-B Prize, the Prof. Stu Fishman Award, the Dexon Pharma Award, and more.
